In China, tourists can now rent robotic exoskeletons for about €20 to help with hiking demanding trails like Mount Tai and Zhangjiajie National Park. These AI-assisted wearable devices, weighing around 1.8 kg, reduce fatigue by up to 30 % and assist walking and running on challenging terrain. Currently in trial phases, they have gained popularity and plans are underway to expand battery recharge stations along hiking routes.
